QustomDot is a deep-tech company specializing in quantum dot materials for next-generation displays. Founded as a spin-off from Ghent University, our technology is the result of over two decades of research in quantum dot synthesis and surface engineering.
Our mission is to bring quantum dot color to every screen — sustainably, without toxic materials, and without complexity. We develop cadmium-free quantum dot inkjet inks that can be applied directly on-chip — removing the barriers that have kept quantum dots out of microLED and other advanced display applications.

Kim founded QustomDot in 2020 as a spin-off from Ghent University, building on her PhD research in nanocrystal materials. As Chief Executive Officer, she defines the company's strategic direction while remaining closely involved in its technological development. Under her leadership, QustomDot has grown from an academic innovation into a rapidly expanding deep-tech company, successfully securing approximately €14.2 million in public and private funding — combining scientific expertise with entrepreneurial vision to bring sustainable quantum dot technologies from the laboratory into industrial manufacturing.
As Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer, Bart leads QustomDot's financial strategy, corporate governance, and long-term business planning. With extensive experience as a CFO, strategic financial advisor, and board-level partner, he has guided innovative companies through fundraising, financial due diligence, external audits, and governance processes. He has supported multiple startups through critical growth phases and investment rounds, and played an important role in the successful exit of a life-science instrumentation company. He ensures QustomDot maintains the robust financial framework required for sustainable growth and international expansion.
As Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Imane leads QustomDot's global commercial strategy, accelerating the transition of its quantum dot technology from laboratory innovation to industrial adoption. She is responsible for go-to-market execution, strategic customer engagement, and international business development, working with customers from early evaluation through product qualification. With experience building partnerships across Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, she keeps commercial execution aligned with product development and operational readiness.
As Chief Operating Officer, Arne leads the industrialization of QustomDot's technology, translating scientific innovation into scalable manufacturing processes. With more than 15 years of experience spanning advanced materials, display technologies and automotive manufacturing, he brings deep expertise in process development, operational excellence and international business, including extensive experience working with Asian customers and manufacturing partners. Under his leadership, the company is establishing its in-house production capabilities to support customer manufacturing and future scale-up.
